At Flowers Early Learning, we provide education and wrap-around services to children 0-5 years old and their families. Our goal is to prepare the child and their family for the transition to kindergarten. We focus all efforts on School Readiness, not just for the child, but the entire family!

Flowers Early Learning Head Start and Early Head Start programs support the mental, social, and emotional development of children from birth to age 5. In addition to education services, programs provide children and their families with health, nutrition, social, and other services. Head Start services are responsive to each child and family’s ethnic, cultural, and linguistic heritage.

Flowers Early Learning Head Start encourages the role of parents as their child’s first and most important teachers. We build relationships with families that support positive parent-child relationships, family well-being, and connections to peers and community. Head Start began as a program for preschoolers and has expanded to include services to pregnant women, infants and toddlers.

Flowers Early Learning Early Head Start serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers. Early Head Start programs are available to the family until the child turns 3 years old and is ready to transition into Head Start. Early Head Start helps families care for their infants and toddlers through early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive services.

School Readiness

As school readiness is all encompassing, we include family engagement and overall health and wellness in our school readiness reports. The Education team studies child data 3 to 4 times a year. We use those results to write program action steps and plan training.

Conscious Discipline

Conscious discipline is a comprehensive social-emotional learning and classroom management program based on current brain research. Conscious discipline empowers adults to consciously respond to daily conflict, transforming it into an opportunity to teach critical life skills to children.

Disability Services

Flowers Early Learning provides a preschool experience for both disabled and non-disabled children. Working collaboratively with local school districts and other community agencies, staff ensure children with disabilities receive the services necessary to participate fully in the program.

Dual Language Services

Flowers Early Learning is committed to our Dual Language Learners, (DLL), and addressing all aspects of their needs, along with the needs of their families. It is our policy to provide services, both in and out of the classroom, in the preferred language of the family.

Early Head Start Services

EHS programs enhance children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development; assist pregnant women to access comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care and support parents.

Education Services

Flowers Early Learning provides children and families with a variety of education services through Center Based and Home Based options. Flowers Early Learning provides children with experiences that prepare them for future success in kindergarten.

Family Services

We believe that parents are the first and best teachers of their children. Families have much to contribute to the program including their cultural heritage, family values and experiences. We encourage parents to be involved in all aspects of the program and their child’s education. The more involved parents are, the more their child will achieve.

Father/Male Involvement

Head Start and Early Head Start (EHS) programs consistently engage fathers as advocates, lifelong educators, and first teachers of their children. Programs also engage fathers in developing their own skills and interests and in achieving their personal goals.

Health Services

Flowers Early Learning assists families with obtaining health screenings for their children by providing onsite hearing clinics by the local health departments, onsite dental clinics by local dentists and onsite vision clinics by local optometrists.

Prenatal Services

A healthy pregnancy has a direct influence on the health and development of a newborn child. Early Head Start partners with women prenatally to offer supportive services as early in life as possible, as the prenatal period of growth and development has a lasting impact on the child’s potential for healthy growth and development after birth.
